About
George Verdolaga is a prolific author, speaker
and relationship-marketing guru. His two biggest passions are teaching and helping people get out of their own way so that they can reach their personal, career or business objectives as quickly and painlessly as possible.
George worked as the administrator and education program adviser for the Westdrive Educational Foundation (WEFI) for almost a decade. George continues to be involved in education by teaching at the Grade 3 level of the St. Andrew’s Parish religious education program (PREP) since 2001, together with his wife. Both of them are also active members in church.
Not long after moving to Vancouver in 1999, George successfully established Flowform Design Group, a kitchen and bathroom interior design company from scratch. When the recession of 2008 hit the global economy, George saw many people get laid off and attempt to get back on their feet by blanketing the entire city with their resumes and getting no callbacks. As a result, George created the SITTING PRETTY Home Study Course, based on his experience of successfully finding work in places like Manila, Milan, New York, and Vancouver in as little as 11 days by going through the “back door”.
With the 2008 recession came the unfortunate reality of 20- to 30- year company veterans finding themselves out of work and unable to land a new job. As a result, George wrote THE CONTRACTOR LIFESTYLE to discuss the importance of creating a career safety net and staying valuable in the marketplace so that one never has to worry about layoffs or economic downturns.
More recently, George created THE JOB FARMER to share his personal and business philosophies on how to find work or get clients for one’s business and keep them loyal, based on 7 Key Principles. He also wrote the book to raise money for charity and as part of his personal efforts to help the world move past the recession by empowering people to help themselves and not rely on any government handouts or bailout packages.
George also developed the PERSONAL AND CAREER PLANNER to help people inventory their skills and abilities (as well as their weaknesses) and create an action plan to enable them move up the career ladder or achieve their dream of economic independence.
George is past president of The Pacific Club, BNI Harbourside, BNI Sterling and has been voted Networker of the Year. He has sat on the boards of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the Pan Xenia Foundation and currently serves as a mentor at the Helping House Society.
